Econometrics
This book presents econometrics not as a series of statistical techniques but as a way of doing applied economics. It teaches the statistical techniques that are the basis of econometric analysis, but it teaches them in the context of important economic problems and addresses them with economic analysis. It draws on principles-level knowledge of economic models and economic issues such as monetary policy, electric power deregulation, labor market discrimination, and welfare reform to explain the purpose and the benefits of using statistical methods to do economics.
