This book discusses the legal procedure in a democratic country, the United States (in the case of the author's). It contains six parts which explains the legal procedure and judicial custom, justice and politics: judgments and sentiment, independence and the sense of responsiblity of the judge, the crisis in the reasoned opinion, the dialectical aspects of the judicial process, and respect for the individual in the judicial process. This book is suitable for research on American legal systems and judicial process.
