International political risk management
Contributors to this volume consider some needed development in the political risk insurance industry, lesson in structuring future private power projects in emerging markets, the challenges of managing regulatory risk, and the state of the international investment insurance market in 2010. First to be examined are the possible development of bilateral investment treaty-based arbitral award coverage and the necessity of convergence in the terrorism and political risk insurance market. The focus then turns to lesson from financing private power projects in emerging markets over the last decade to structuring new project. Three detailed papers address the challenge of managing regulatory risk from a variety of legal perspective.
