Guide to Managerial Communication
The Book is divided into four main sections: 1. communication strategy : effective managerial communication-written or oral-is based on an effective strategy. 2. Writing : Offers techniques on the writing process - that is, how to write faster. 3. Deals with "macro", or larger, issues in writing-including document design, signposts to show connection,and paragraphs or sections. 4. Covers "micro", or smaller, writing issues-including editing for brevity and choosing a style. The appendices cover writing formats, grammar, and punctuation. 5. Explains the verbal aspects-that is, what you say-in presentaitons, question and answer sessions, meeting, and other speaking situations. 6. Describes visual aids, including design, equipment, and practice. 7. Analyzes nonverbal delivery and listening skills.
