This book is more interested in defining and defending ”biblical truth” than in a cross-cultural and comparative analysis of Korea shamanism and Korean Christianity from the history of religion or phenomenology of a religious point of view. The author sets out the criteria for judging the value of traditional Korean religions and spirituality from the Christian point of view: ”In other words, the impact of traditional Korean religion on Korean Christianity should be carefully examined according to biblical criteria in order to find out whether the final forms of acceptance are really consonant with biblical truth”.
