This book discusses the major international problems of the United States foreign policy. The book consists of 13 chapters divided in three parts about the position of the United States in world affairs since the war and bases of United States action, review of the major problems in the United Nations system, Europe, Mediterranean and Middle East, East and Southeast Asia, Western hemisphere, economic relations, human rights and fundamental freedoms, national military power, the problem of American assistance to underdeveloped areas, the problem of Indonesia, and the problem of European integration. This book is suitable for research on international problems faced by the United States' in 1940s in relation to other countries.
