This book discusses the foreign policy of the United States in the mid-twentieth century in its relation with Russia. The book consists of 12 chapters about the nature of the problem between American and Russian which are the atom, communist totalitarianism, and their strengths and vulnerabilities, American policy requirements including the minimum requirements, defence policy and arms control, allies and neutrals, economic policy and the problem of growth, and social policy and the problem of modernization and reform, and areas of conflict such as Germany, the Eastern European satellites, Communist China and Asian Security, the problem of positive objectives in direct relations, and the outlook. This book is suitable for research on American foreign policy in relation to Russia post-World War II.
